Facebook
Facebook is a social networking site that was founded in february 2004 in cambridge by Mark Zuckerberg, Chris Hughes,
Dustin Moskovitz and Eduardo Saverin. Facebook was initially only meant to be used by the students of Harvard University until it was later expanded to other universities in the Boston are, then it was later expanded to other students at colleges and high schools and then was finally expanded to people who were over the age of 13.
In January 2009 a study ranked Facebook as the most usuable social networking site, after that was Myspace. Most of Facebook's revenues come from the advertising of other companies on the social networking site.
Myspace
Myspace is also another social networking site. Its headquarters are in Beverly Hills, California where the owner of this shares the building. Myspace became the most popular social networking site in the United States in June 2006, it was said that Myspace was taken over by their main competitor, Facebook.
The first main users of Myspace were eUniverse employees, they all had competitions to see how many people they could each get.
Google
Google Apps is a service from google that provides independantly customizable version of google products. It had many features including Gmail, Google Groups, Google Wave, Google Calendar. The standard edition is free and gives the same amount of storage as Gmail accounts. Up to May 2010 it has been said that Google will be available to domains hosted by google apps in the next generation.
