Additionally, users may join common interest user groups, organised by workplace, school, college. Facebook was launched in February 2004, and now in 2010 it has more than 500 million active users. Facebook was founded by Mark Zuckerberg with his college roommates and fellow computer science students Eduardo Saverin, Dustin Moskovitz and Chris Hughes. MySpace is a social networking website. MySpace was launched in August 2003, and now in 2010 it has 66 million users. MySpace became the most popular social networking site in the United States in June 2006. MySpace employs 1,000 employees. The very first MySpace users were eUniverse employees. Google Apps technology is a free, web-based word processor, spreadsheet, presentation, form, and data storage service offered by Google. It allows users to create and edit documents online while collaborating in real-time with other users. Data storage of any files upto 1GB was introduced on January 13, 2010. The service is officially supported on recent versions of the Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari and Chrome browsers running on Microsoft Windows, Apple OS X and Linux operating systems. | |
